Scorpions
Scorpions reproduce sexually, like spiders. The mating process begins with the male and the female scorpions grabbing hold of each others pedipalps in a "dance" known as the "promenade a deux." During this dance, the male leads the female to a suitable place to deposit his spermatophore. A spermatophore is a cpasule or mass of sperm deposited by a male. When the male deposits his spermatophore in a suitable location, he leads the female to it, allowing the mass to enter her genital opercula. This allows the sperm to be released from the spermatophore. Then the female's eggs are fertilized. After the mating process is complete, the male and female separate. The male usually retreats quickly to avoid being cannibalized by the female (which is usually infrequent with scorpions). This is called sexual cannibalism.
